Systems Development & Integration

We build robust enterprise systems and connect the ones you have, so information flows where it is needed.

What we offer

  • 01Enterprise systems

Secure, scalable core systems built to your processes.

  • 02APIs & integration

Well-documented APIs that connect systems, partners and apps.

  • 03Microservices

Modular architecture that is easier to scale and change.

  • 04Legacy modernisation

Upgrading ageing systems without disrupting the business.

The South African context

Why it matters here

Many South African organisations still run critical services on systems that are decades old and poorly connected. Modernising them carefully reduces risk without stopping the business.

  • Silos slow service

When systems cannot share data, people re-capture it by hand, customers repeat themselves and reports disagree. Well-designed APIs let information flow where it is needed.

  • Interoperability is a national priority

Government's digital transformation roadmap puts data exchange between systems at its centre. Organisations that can connect securely will find it easier to plug into digital ID, payments and public services.

  • Cyber resilience is now required

Ageing platforms are hard to patch and secure. For financial institutions, the Joint Standard on cybersecurity and cyber resilience — in force since June 2025 — makes this a board-level obligation.

Where it fits

Use cases across South African industries

  • Financial services

API layers around core banking and insurance systems, and partner integration.

  • Automotive

Dealer management, supply chain and manufacturer system integration.

  • Healthcare

Secure data sharing between patient, billing and laboratory systems.

  • Public sector

Case management systems and modernisation of legacy citizen platforms.

Built for South African conditions

  • Phased modernisation that keeps existing services running
  • Secure, documented APIs with authentication and audit logs
  • Security controls aligned with POPIA section 19 and sector standards
  • Integration with South African payment, identity and messaging services
  • Knowledge transfer so your team can run and extend the platform

What you gain

  • Connected operations

Systems that share data instead of working in silos.

  • Lower technical risk

Modern platforms that are easier to maintain.

  • Room to change

Modular architecture that adapts as you grow.

FAQs

Questions we often hear

Should we replace our legacy system or modernise it?

Full replacement is the riskiest option. We usually recommend wrapping the existing system with APIs, then replacing parts step by step, so the business keeps running throughout.

Can you integrate with our ERP, CRM or core system?

In most cases, yes — through vendor APIs, middleware or, where nothing else exists, carefully managed database or file integration.

Are microservices right for us?

Not always. They help when parts of a system need to scale or change independently. For smaller systems, a well-structured single application is often simpler and cheaper to run.

How do you handle security?

Security is designed in from the start: least-privilege access, encryption, secure coding practices, automated testing in the delivery pipeline, and logging that supports incident response.
